Raja Mangkunegaran was the title of the rulers of the Mangkunegaran Palace in Solo, Indonesia. The Mangkunegaran Palace was established in 1757 by Raden Mas Said, who was appointed as Prince Mangkunegara I by the Sultan of Mataram.
The title "Raja Mangkunegaran" was initially given to the rulers of the Mangkunegaran Palace as a higher rank by the Dutch East Indies colonial administration. The first ruler, Prince Mangkunegara I, was succeeded by his son, Prince Mangkunegara II, and the title continued through subsequent generations.
The Mangkunegaran Palace is known for its Javanese court culture, which includes traditional arts, crafts, and music. The palace is also home to various artifacts and historical documents of the Mangkunegaran rulers.
Today, the current and 11th ruler of the Mangkunegaran Palace is Sri Paduka Prince Mangkunegara X, who has continued to preserve and promote Javanese culture and traditions.
